“Since I was a kid, all the composers taught in the classical canon were male, so the thought of representation never even crossed my mind because I never really saw women composers. Having an event like EA Day, where not only are we bringing in a panel of the most talented, most accomplished women composers to talk about their journeys, but also uplifting younger talent such as myself -- it really is an amazing opportunity to show the world that women–we have a place in this industry."
